1970 Kickers was born from a dream: to create the brand of youth shoes. In 1970, Daniel Raufast came across the poster for the musical Hair. It clicked: in the middle of Flower Power, he wanted to fit this generation that swears only by jeans! Nearly 50 years later, Kickers has become what few manage to do: a cross-generational brand that appeals to young and old alike. Since its creation, Kickers has been driven by a desire to shake up conventions and assume its style. A claimed non-conformist spirit, which allowed him to bring together an audience eager for freedom, authenticity and optimism. All while creating a very strong link with the music, becoming the essential accessory of Roger Daltrey, Rod Stewart or the Arctic Monkeys.

A whole generation overflowing with energy and new aspirationsday after day, a new way of life is invented. The key words of this youth determined to live their dreams: |
This shoe appeared for the first time in the spring of that same year: it was called KICKERS, based on the English word KICK (to kick) and KER (for the American sound), to which an “S” was added. to mark the similarity with the word jeans.

Like JEANS, a rock children's fetish, the KICKERS shoe is solid, practical, comfortable. Like the colorful SHIRTS of the Flower Power descendants, it is lively, cheerful, colorful. And like almost everything that the heirs of the "Swinging Sixties" like to wear, it values the simplicity and authenticity of natural raw materials.
